The GSG100 is inspired by the tones of the Dumble Overdrive Special. Mostly from recorded tones as well as in the shop. The true magic of a Dumble cannot be captured by merely copying internet schematics and layouts. That’s nothing more than a recipe ingredients list. The visible aspect has been observed and copied plenty. The true secrets in Dumble’s genius creations are in what you can’t see. That’s where the real artistry of his amp building exists and it’s those secrets that he shared with no one and took the grave. What I feel that is extraordinarily unique in his creations are the complex palette of tonal colors and textures, the throatiness, the chewiness, the even precision of all frequencies, the creaminess with the right amount of bite to give excitement and definition across the entire, extended bandwidth without harshness, sibilance or spikiness. On a deeper and much more profound level, his amps inspire creative expression and the freedom to allow a level of comfort and ease through the responsive and immediate feel that is the foundation of a transcendental musical experience.

I have invested years into study and meticulous experimentation to the most minute detail to attempt to capture what I feel is the philosophical intent behind Dumble’s contributions to musical artistic expression.
